I have old voicemail on my carrier’s voicemail system. How can I temporarily disable PhoneTag to retrieve these messages?

From your phone dial pad, dial the following for your respective carrier to disable PhoneTag.  To re-enable PhoneTag, you will need to enter the proper codes along with the DID you were assigned when you created your account.  If you no longer have the instructions for enabling PhoneTag. go to our web portal at www.phonetag.com.  Sign in to your account and then go to the Self Service tab.  Here you will find a link to resend the instructions:

Verizon - Dial *73 then press send, you should hear 2 beeps and then your phone will hangup. This means it was completed successfully. If this does not work in your area you can also try *920 followed by send.

Sprint - To disable PhoneTag on your mobile phone dial *38 then press send

AT&T/Cingular and T-Mobile - dial ##004# then hit send, you should see a confirmation message letting you know that conditional call forwarding has been disabled.

Deactivating Call Forwarding is a three step process

  1. To deactivate “Call forward if busy”, simply dial #67# and tap “Call”
  2. To deactivate “Call forward if not answered”, simply dial #61# and tap “Call”
  3. To deactivate “Call forward if not reachable”, simply dial #62# and tap “Call”

Please note that disabling PhoneTag from your phone does NOT cancel your account with us, it only returns your phone to your carrier's voicemail system instead of PhoneTag's system.
